Okay – I just love this site.  I can recycle my used books (and yes, it’s not just for paperbacks, but hardbacks and audio books too!)   This book club is super EASY to use.  There are no membership fees (currently) and it only costs you the postage to mail your books out to other club members that request them.  Books that you request come directly to you FREE.   The super easy to use system tracks:  books requested from you, books you need to mail, books you have mailed, books you have requested and books being mailed to you.  You don’t have to do anything, other than click when you mailed and when you have received; the website does the rest for you.

Favorite features are also the Wish List where the site looks for books that you are wanting and lets you know when they are available.   Posting a book is a snap, you just plug in the ISBN off the back of the book and the book cover image and description are already in the system.   You can print all your wrapping and postage from your printer and not even have to visit the post office.  The postage of mailing the books out is much cheaper than a new book and with over 3 million books posted, there is a lot to choose from!   Remember the ones that you order come to you free.  After you post your first 10 of your own books, you receive 2 free credits just for joining.  Book credits are even swap, one book for one book (audio books are two credits).  And to add to the joy, there is also sister sites of DVD Swap and CD Swap.    I’m thrilled in not only finding books that I have wanted to read, but I’ve also gotten rid of the stacks of books and DVD’s I’ve collected over the years.  I wish I’d found this site much sooner!

Some Sheep farmers in Wales, who call themselves the Baaa-Studs, got a little creative with their sheep herding skills by adding LED light displays and camera’s.  I don’t care if they tweaked the video a little, the working dogs were fantastic and it’s a good chuckle!

Axle chain draft on an easy entry type cart.

Work in progress:  I’m setting up an easy entry cart for a miniature donkey.  I prefer neck collars on my animals for better pulling efficiency and comfort.  To get the line of draft correct on an easy entry cart for neck collar use, I needed to drop the single tree down to the level of the axle.    This change over took all of 20 minutes and cost about $20.    I’m still looking for some sleeves I can put over the chain so it doesn’t make noise on the bottom of the basket. (update:  I found some pipe insulation and trimmed it to length and wrapped with gorilla tape.  Sweet!)    When I get the rest of the harness back from the harness maker after some customizing changes, everything should go together smoothly; cart, neck collar harness and donkey.  That’s the plan anyway and when that happens,  I’ll post some more pictures of the turnout.
